For many years people have said to me, “You love food why don’t you start a food blog?”
And for many years, I procrastinated. Because listen being a serial business owner is not for the weak.
But here we are.
Pardon my manners my name is La Shawna Griffith. I’m a PR Consultant, Entrepreneur, Spoken Word Artiste, Author, and most importantly a foodie. I genuinely love food. I love how it transcends language, colour, class, and creed. Food doesn’t need translation it simply connects.

Food is a universal language.
Living in Barbados, food is tradition. It’s memory. It’s legacy. It’s the recipes passed down through generations, grandma’s secret sauce she never quite writes down, the way we grow our herbs in the backyard, season by instinct, and cook with love and intention. Food here is culture. Food is story.

And this year, I’m inviting you along for the journey.
I’ll be taking you with me across Barbados exploring familiar favourites, hidden gems, roadside stops, and unexpected delights giving you my free, honest, and unbiased take on the food.
And before you ask yes, I do have an Associate Degree in Food and Nutrition plus hundreds of MasterChef episodes under my belt, so you’re in safe hands.
So grab your cutlery, bring your appetite, and let’s savour every moment.
Welcome to The Bajan Bite where every taste tells a story.
