Exploring Authentic Polish Cuisine at The Rustic Chef

If you know me, you know that I love a good meal. I mean after growing up poor being able to afford to taste and try different cuisines is one of the things I am pleased to enjoy.

Last weekend my best friend and I went to The Rustic Chef. A beautiful restaurant located in Lime Grove, St. James. From the start the waitresses were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu.

The first thing that surprised me was how everything on the menu was fresh, even the mango smoothie was made with fresh mangoes that the owner sourced from a local vendor.

But then I decided to get creative and try some stuff I never had before, so I tried their Pierogis. The dish which is a traditional polish dish which is made by wrapping unleavened dough around a filling, boiling them until they float, and often pan-frying them in butter. However, the ones I sampled were made with potato and a cream cheese filling. They were absolutely delicious.

For my main course, I went for my usual. The salmon linguine, it was beyond delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly, pink and flaky the way it is supposed to be. The linguine was flavourful, with a delicious tomato sauce that decorated my face as I was eating.

The food was delicious, I truly will be back to sample some more of their menu.
